"SORRY!!!" was a word common found between my brother Ben and my sister Katherine and me. Not because we were apologizing to each other, but because this was one of our favorite games growing up- heck, its still one of our favorite games to play!
We would spend hours playing and laughing our heads off! It seems to be in every game, one of us would be stuck in 'start' and then we would get all the 'sorry' cards and we would knock everyone off the board! Then it was always the revenge!! An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth, a sorry for a sorry! Of course two of us would gang up on the third to which made things even funnier to the two, but of course, the third would get sour and glare.
Oh how these games would become so heated as we all were knocking off each other. The '11' card was always a fun one! Where you can switch places with another pawn. One would get '11' and switch the pawns, then the next person got an '11' and would switch them right back! It was all in vain.
Towards the end of the game, we were all on the edge of our seats, anticipating who was going to win... we all had 3 pawns 'home', the last one was in the 'safe zone', who was going to the the first to get the 1 or the '2' or the '3'- no, not the backwards '4'! will we get the '6' and win the game?
Ahhhhh the suspense! Oh the memories!
Unfortunately we three are not only in 3 different countries, we are also on 3 different continents as well. I really miss them and I wish we could play again and continue to make those fun memories...
Oh well, I guess the game of 'SORRY!' will just have to wait a while longer... =[
