Eat Drink and Be Merry

I was watching a show and there was this 21 year old man who was on his way to his niece's 4 year old birthday party. Afterwards he was to meet a girl when she got out of work. When he got to his niece's house, his sister came out. They got in a fight and she told him that he can't come till he's proved himself worthy again. (he was a drug-e and a thief, but he was getting clean)
3 hours later and he was shot and died within minutes. He saved someone though, so he did not die in vain.
His sister was his only family, so the cops went to tell her. I can only imagine the guilt she would feel. If she had let him stay for the party, he would still be alive.
However, they cops did not know he was to meet the girl so you just see her waiting and waiting. . . not knowing. . .

Have you ever thought about the equation of life? What would happen if you were taken out to the equation? who would be affected and how?

Most people believe that you have to eat drink and be merry for tomorrow we die. But who said we had to eat and drink to be merry? ?

Just because you only live once on Earth doesn't mean that's it. There is something so much more grandeur than we can comprehend. And for all those addicted to drugs, alcohol, smoking, even video games, do you think they will be there in the next life? I don't. The only thing you take with you is your knowledge. If all you know is addictions, and you will not have what you are addicted too in the next life, you will have some problems! But even if you don't believe in a life after death, what kind of life is that anyways? Is that how you want to be remembered? 'Hey, that's they guy that played that online game for 18 hrs in a day every day.' 'Hey, that's the girl who couldn't get out of bed for months and months because she was so wasted.' That will sound nice in the obituary. . .  So why do people think, Eat Drink and Be Merry means we should? There is so much more to life than that!

Family, love, good healthy relationships, if you believe in God, being like He is. If you don't believe in God, being the best you can be. That's what really makes you merry! That is what life is all about!

When I am taken out of the equation, I wonder what they will say about me? Did I try to do good? Or was I a bum who never accomplished anything? What will they say about you? Did we do anything that we will be remembered, or forgotten? Will they remember good, or the bad?

Don't forget what life is really about and what's really important. The day the boy in the show figured it out, he was shot and it was too late. He was dead. Taken out of the equation of life, just like that.

You only live once, so give it purpose! ! ! ! !
